What is a Paramedical Pedicure?

Paramedical pedicure is an advanced non-invasive toenail and foot care procedure that addresses various non-medical concerns, such as: thick nail debridement, under toenails calluses, cracked heels, etc. This service includes initial consultation, detailed toenails, sidewalls and folds cleaning, trimming, filing, callus reduction (if necessary treatment of cracked heels), moisturization and foot massage, as well as customized advice and homecare recommendation. In essence, a paramedical pedicure is a comprehensive foot care experience that goes beyond aesthetics to prioritize the health and well-being of your feet.   First picture was my nails before I started getting a Russian manicure with Aigerim. They were really fragile and would break easily. All other pictures of my nails are the work of the fabulous Aigerim! I’ve been going to Aiko Nails for about 2 years now and my nails have never looked better. Yes it may get a little pricey but the service is exceptional and I’ve always took pride in having nice hands and nails so I don’t mind paying. I had never experienced a Russian mani before moving to Austin and I had stumbled across her Instagram @: aiko_nails.atx and instantly fell in love with her work. After my first initial visit I could never go back to a regular nail salon. My nails have never looked better. She takes pride in what she does and is always working on ways to learn new things. What made me fall in love with the Russian manicure is that it’s a dry technique and the cuticle work is amazing and it speaks for itself. Her space is exceptionally sanitized and organized. Not only is the service amazing, but Aigerim is super nice and professional! I always look forward to my appointments to catch up with her. Not only do I get a manicure but also a pedicure. First of all I'd like to say that Aiko had the patience of a Saint working with me. I'd been following her online for some time, watching her craft. One thing that drew me to the Dry Manicure technique is the attention to detail.
I am a visual and hands on learner and Aiko was there with me every step of the way. During our time working together I learned about the importance of sterilizing instruments, proper nail prep (great for retention), different bits and their purpose. I learned how to apply structure gel to give a streak free finish, removal of polish. When I was learning the technique, Aiko was there to guide me when I needed redirection.
Aiko also provided me a list of products she used and provided links to the products she works with.
Taking this class from her gave me the knowledge, and confidence to continue to grow in my art. It also taught me the importance of executing each step adequately as they build upon each other. I highly recommend taking this class.

  I’ve been getting manicures and pedicures with Aiko for 2 years now, and I have never been disappointed! She is an absolute perfectionist with insane attention to detail. She offers so many things for your nails from free hand designs, dried flowers, foils, and so much more - I always get compliments on my nails from strangers!
She truly cares about her clients’ nail health, and her space is incredibly clean and everything sterilized. You can also always ask her questions about the process, I’ve learned so much about my nails and she is a fantastic teacher!
